Our linear motion unit can be integrated into the entire Robotunits Modular Automation System. A specially developed aluminum extrusion allows the timing belt to run back inside the extrusion, leaving three freely accessible T-slots free for attachments or fasteners. The linear motion unit can simultaneously be used as a frame structure This keeps our system simple and flexible.
"Particularly convincing is the modular design of the individual products and the reliable, low-maintenance and stable linear motion units, which are ideal for the development and design of the handling and removal equipment and packing machines."
Screwing in the hardened guiderail transforms Robotunits extrusions into a linear motion unit. This is where the multifunctionality of Robotunits Modular Automation System comes in again. The hardened guiderail enables play-free datum edge positioning. In addition, our system is characterized by high wear resistance and smooth running.
Basically, we distinguish between the standard linear technology with the connection of the motor to the outer idler and the Omega linear motion unit, which is especially suitable for Z axes. The background idea is that as little system mass as possible should be moved in the Z axis and therefore it is an advantage that the motor is not moved with the Omega connection solution. A wide variety of motor types can be connected to each standard idler. This is what enables us to find the perfect solution for your application.
