In order to make all processes at Böllhoff Produktion GmbH simpler, faster and more flexible, the company decided to invest in customized technology with fully automated storage using a Kardex system and a matching conveyor system design. The Robotunits roller conveyor technology ensures the automated provision of items in small load carriers. These are then seamlessly picked up as required by an AGV with a Robotunits conveyor system superstructure and transported to the correct assembly machine.
The Böllhoff Group is a leading global supplier of fasteners and assembly systems with a wide range of products and comprehensive services. With more than 145 years of experience, Böllhoff offers customized solutions for various industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical technology and mechanical engineering. The company attaches great importance to quality, innovation and sustainability in order to meet the demanding requirements of its customers. In a joint project with Kardex, an individual concept for the material flow in relation to assembly machines was realized. The solution offers Böllhoff significant advantages such as space savings, process reliability and flexibility, making production processes more efficient and future-proof.

We chose Robotunits because of the simplicity and flexibility of the system components. The always friendly and very constructive cooperation with the Robotunits team was a fruitful construct in solution finding, design and installation on site. A great project was created hand in hand.
