The Basic System offers a simple and quick solution for a safety fence – ideal for classic applications where the simple and safe separation of danger zones and people is required.
Using the Basic Safety Fence System, you can simply line up several Basic elements together, consisting of safety fence panels, hinged doors and sliding doors using safety fence fasteners to separate your danger zones.

For example, if a hinged door cannot be used due to space constraints, a sliding door can be integrated instead. Telescopic sliding doors are used in special cases, where the clearance width and height need to be particularly large. These are implemented in particular, when the lintel of a conventional sliding door presents a barrier.

Panel options
The panel fillings of the Robotunits Safety Fence Systems are very diverse. In most cases, the panel filling of the safety fences are weld mesh or polycarbonate. In the case of weld mesh, the grid of the mesh (4 cm) must be considered when determining the dimensions of the safety fence. In addition, there are virtually no limits to the customization of the safety fence. For example, another application would be the use of sheet metal as the panel filling for privacy screens, attached with clamping devices. The Robotunits Panel Profile clips the panel filling (e.g. polycarbonate) directly into the 14 mm uniform T-slot and seals the panel completely.

A safety fence is a guard to protect people. It prevents access to hazardous areas. A safety fence provides a physical barrier that prevents accidents and injuries by creating a safe distance between man and machine.

Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
According to the Machinery Directive, the manufacturer is obliged to take all necessary protective measures to ensure the safety and health of persons.
A safety fence is mandatory if::
- The risk assessment identifies a hazard that cannot be prevented in any other way.
- The standards for the design of guards (e.g. EN ISO 14120, EN ISO 13857) must be applied.
- This is demanded by the safety requirements of the Machinery Directive.
Robotunits offer two different Safety Fence Systems
Both systems meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive and are CE-certified..
Our Safety Fence Systems consist of several components:

The Basic system is the “classic“ among Robotunits safety fence systems. Easy to use and attractively priced. Ideal for standard applications in machine design and in production automation.
The Basic system is capable of stopping up to 80 kg at 10 km/h.
With the Basic system, the Basic panels and Basic doors are joined together.The panels are connected directly to each other using safety fence fasteners. Thanks to the pre-assembled screws and fasteners, the system can be installed quickly and easily by a single person. Leveling screws on the adjustable feet allow the height to be adjusted, e.g. if the floor is uneven.

The Allround system offers high flexibility. The panels are simply hooked into the pre-assembled fence posts and can be easily and quickly removed and re-installed if required. For large-area accessibility such as for machine replacement or inspection work.
The Allround system is capable of stopping up to 80 kg at 10 km/h.

Yes, the Robotunits Safety Fencing System is ESD conductive. The drop-in nut developed by Robotunits breaks through the anodized layer on the extrusion and the current can be easily earthed.

Robotunits offers safety fence panels in various standard sizes.
The standard panels are advantageous in terms of price and have extremely short delivery times. Of course, customized sizes in height and width are also possible.
All extrusions have a 14 mm uniform T-slot to ensure multiple combination possibilities within the Modular Automation System. This means that panels can be easily attached to other products from the Modular Automation System (e.g. belt conveyors) and act as a safety enclosure.
Attachments such as safety switches are also easy to implement.
Whether short or long, we supply customized safety fence systems. From individual small panels to entire lines. This means you are entirely flexible in terms of dimensions.
Yes, the Robotunits Safety Fence System is completely modular. Thanks to the uniform and accessible t-slots, additional elements such as shelves, brackets, signal lamps or safety switches can easily be retrofitted.

Our safety fences are anodized aluminum as standard. However, all RAL colors for the frame and mesh are available on customer request.
Color combinations or the coloring of individual panels, such as yellow doors to mark escape routes, are also often implemented.
